One Screen Views and the One Screen Display Designer

Access the One Screen Display Designer by using Millennium Explorer > Profiles > User Options > One Screen, Millennium Explorer > My Millennium > User Options > One Screen, or, if you are viewing a selected constituent's data by using the One Screen View, use the Customize item on the Section Header's Edit Button menu.

Access the One Screen View for a selected constituent by using Millennium Explorer > Profiles > One Screen View.

One Screen Views allow you to view the constituent and prospect data you want to see on one screen in the Abila Millennium user interface. You configure One Screen Views using the One Screen Display Designer.

About Default and Custom One Screen Views

You can view constituent data using the system default One Screen View or a custom One Screen View that you create for yourself.

In a One Screen View, you can also view only the data tables, trees, and trends for which you have permissions. The list of data tables, trees, and trends that you can view is based on the Abila Millennium database group associated with your Abila Millennium user ID. For more information, see Database Group and Group Maintenance.

System Default One Screen View

Abila Millennium provides a system default One Screen View. The default One Screen View displays the following data tables for a selected constituent or prospect:

• Basic Data
• Addresses
• Tracking
• Giving Detail

Custom One Screen View

In addition to using the default One Screen View, you can also create your own custom One Screen View that displays constituent and prospect data the way you want to see it on one screen. For more information about creating your own custom One Screen View, see Creating Custom One Screen Views.

You can add the following data tables to your One Screen View:

Viewing Constituent and Prospect Data Using One Screen Views

You can view data for a prospect with the One Screen View using the following methods:

• Access the One Screen View for one selected prospect by using Millennium Explorer, Profiles > One Screen View.
• Access the One Screen View for your prospect by using Millennium Explorer, Favorites > Prospects > My Prospects, and then clicking the link for a constituent ID or name.
• Access the One Screen View for a prospect assigned to one of your staff members by using Millennium Explorer, Favorites > Prospects > My Staff. Click the link for a staff member's constituent ID or name, and then click on the constituent ID or name for a prospect. Abila Millennium displays the One Screen View for the prospect.

You can view data with the One Screen View for any constituent by using the following method:

1. Locate the desired constituent by using a Standard or Advanced Abila Millennium Search.
2. Use Millennium Explorer, Profiles > One Screen View. Abila Millennium displays the One Screen View for the constituent.

Customizing Data Table Rows in One Screen Views

Use the Custom Display Designer to customize the displays (as they are seen in the One Screen View ) for each data table that is available for the One Screen View display. The displays can be changed to add fields that are not included on the standard One Screen View display forms, to remove standard fields, to change labels, and to reposition fields on the display forms.

1. Using Internet Explorer as your browser, log on to the system as a Millennium system administrator.
2. Access the Profiles version of the Custom Display Designer by using Millennium Explorer, Tools>Display Design>Profiles.
3. Click the Profiles menu. Point to Biographical, Giving, or Prospects, as desired, and the click on the desired table name. Not all of the Custom Display Designer tables that are listed are available on the One Screen View display.
4. Select the One Screen Customize Screen Layout option
5. Utilize the Custom Display Designer's editing tools to make your customizations.
6. Click Save to save and apply your changes.

Creating Custom One Screen Views

You can create a custom One Screen View using the One Screen Display Designer. Creating a custom One Screen View allows you to display the constituent and prospect data you want to see on one screen.

To create a custom One Screen View:

1. Access the One Screen Display Designer.

   Use Millennium Explorer, My Millennium > User Options > One Screen.

   or

   If you are using the One Screen view to view a selected constituent's data, point to the Section Header Edit Button and click on Customize.

2. Review the ID number in Sample ID field. By default, Abila Millennium is displaying the ID number of the constituent whose data you are currently viewing. If you are not currently viewing data for a constituent, your user's constituent ID number will display. If you do not have a constituent ID number that is linked to your User ID, then Abila Millennium will display the first constituent ID number found. If you want to use another constituent's when designing your One Screen View, type in that constituent ID number instead (you must do this before you select an item from the Table field).
3. In the Table field, select the data table, tree, or trend you want to add to your One Screen View from the drop-down list.
4. In the Location field, select the location where you want the data table to display in your One Screen View.
5. In the Rows field, type the number of rows you want to use to display data in the table. The number of rows you specify affects the height of the box where the data is displayed. You can display up to 99 rows.
6. Specify if you want to add the data table to the top or the bottom of your One Screen View by clicking Add to Top or Add to Bottom.
7. Click Save Display to save your custom One Screen View after you finish configuring your custom view.
8. Click the Millennium Explorer Profiles item to exit to One Screen Display Designer (you may have to click twice). Or, if you accessed the One Screen Display Designer from a selected constituent's One Screen View, return by using Millennium Explorer, Profiles > One Screen View.

After you create your custom One Screen View, you can perform the following actions:

• View constituent and prospect data using your custom One Screen View. For more information, see Viewing Constituent and Prospect Data Using One Screen Views.
• Modify your custom One Screen View. For more information, see Modifying One Screen Views.
• Reset your custom One Screen View to the default. For more information, see Resetting Custom One Screen Views to the Default View.

Modifying One Screen Views

You can modify default and custom One Screen views.

To modify a One Screen View:

1. Access the One Screen Display Designer.

   Use Millennium Explorer, My Millennium > User Options > One Screen.

   or

   If you are using the One Screen view to view a selected constituent's data, point to the Section Header Edit Button and click on Customize.

2. Point to the Edit button located to the left of the table name on the outside of the table's data box.

3. Select one of the following options:

   Make Wide - Select if you want the table to span the full width of the One Screen View.

   Make Narrow - Select if you want the table to span half the width of the One Screen View.

   Move Right - Select if you want the table to display on the right half of the One Screen View.

   Move Left - Select if you want the table to display on the left half of the One Screen View.

   Move Up - Select if you want the table to display one row up on the One Screen View.

   Move Down - Select if you want the table to display one row down on the One Screen View.

   Increase Height - Select if you want to add one row of data to the table display.

   Decrease Height - Select if you want to remove one row of data from the table display.

   Delete - Select if you want to remove the data table from the One Screen View.

4. Click the Millennium Explorer Profiles item to exit to One Screen Display Designer (you may have to click twice). Or, if you accessed the One Screen Display Designer from a selected constituent's One Screen View, return by using Millennium Explorer, Profiles > One Screen View.

Resetting Custom One Screen Views to the Default View

You can reset your custom One Screen View to the system default One Screen View.

To reset a custom One Screen View to the default view

1. Access the One Screen Display Designer.

   Use Millennium Explorer, My Millennium > User Options > One Screen.

   or

   If you are using the One Screen view to view a selected constituent's data, point to the Section Header Edit Button and click on Customize.

2. Click Default.
3. Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the custom One Screen View.
4. Click OK again to close the confirmation message.
5. Click the Millennium Explorer Profiles item to exit to One Screen Display Designer (you may have to click twice). Or, if you accessed the One Screen Display Designer from a selected constituent's One Screen View, return by using Millennium Explorer, Profiles > One Screen View.

One Screen View Display

This section provides a description of the One Screen View display.

Access the One Screen View for a selected constituent by using Millennium Explorer, Profiles > One Screen View.

By default, Abila Millennium provides a system default One Screen View. The default One Screen View displays the following data tables for a selected constituent or prospect:

Basic Data - Displays the Basic Data table

Addresses - Displays the Addresses table

Tracking - Displays the Tracking table

Giving Detail - Displays the Giving Detail table

The data tables you see displayed when accessing the One Screen View display may be different if you have configured a custom One Screen View. For more information about the Abila Millennium system default One Screen View and custom One Screen Views, see Understanding Custom and Default One Screen Views.

A linked data row will display with the row to which it is linked. For example, Attributes linked to a Basic Data row will display with the Basic Data row. A secondary data row, however, will not display with its corresponding primary data table. For example, Phone Number rows and Internet Address rows will not display with the Address rows in the One Screen View display. To display secondary data rows, you must separately add the secondary table to the One Screen View display by using the One Screen Display Designer.

The following Linked Data is displayed on the One Screen View:

• Linked Attributes (Everywhere)
• Linked Photo
• Linked Address
• Linked Job
• Linked Phone
• Linked Contact Info
• Tender (Credit Card, Gift in Kind & Securities)
• Quid Pro Quo
• Linked Solicitors
• Linked Receipts
• Linked Relations (Everywhere)

If you want to customize the One Screen View, point to the Edit button in the My View Section Header, click Customize, and then create a custom One Screen View using the One Screen Display Designer form. For more information, see Creating Custom One Screen Views.

One Screen Display Designer Form

This section provides field descriptions for the fields and buttons on the One Screen Display Designer form.

Access the One Screen Display Designer form by using Millennium Explorer, My Millennium > User Options > One Screen. Or, if you are viewing a selected constituent's data by using the One Screen View, use the Customize item on the Section Header's Edit Button menu.

Table

Specifies the table, tree, or trend you want to include in your One Screen View. Select the item you want to add from the drop-down list.

Location

Specifies the location where you want to add the table, tree, or trend. For example, if you want to add the table to the left in the One Screen View, click Left. If you want the table to span the width of the One Screen View, click Full Width.

Rows (Height)

Specifies the number of rows you want to use to display data in the table. The number of rows you specify affects the height of the box where the data is displayed. You can display up to 99 rows.

Sample ID

Displays the constituent ID number associated with the Abila Millennium user ID by default. If a constituent ID number is not associated with the Abila Millennium user ID, Abila Millennium displays the first constituent ID number found. If you want to use a different ID number to preview the One Screen View, type the constituent ID number you want to use when configuring your One Screen View.

Add to Top Button

Adds the data table you selected in the Table field to the top of the One Screen View.

Add to Bottom Button

Adds the data table you selected in the Table field to the bottom of the One Screen View.

Save Display Button

Saves your One Screen Display design. When you click Save, Abila Millennium creates or updates a row in the systemplate table that stores information about your One Screen View layout. For more information about the systemplate table, see systemplate.

Default Button

Restores your One Screen Display design to the system default.
